Writing can be lonely. But not for me. I meet other writers as often as five days a week at a local coffee shop. We say hello, but our purpose is to write. We try to go to the coffee shop after the busy lunch hour around 1:30 and we stay until 3 or 3:30.
The ambient noise of the other patrons usually doesn’t bother us. Sometimes we also meet to write in the mornings. Again, we try to avoid busy times at the coffee shop.
Making and keeping writing appointments to write works well for us. I’m always amazed at how quickly our writing time passes. Before I’m ready, it’s time to go.

Too true, Phyllis, but we sure do get a lot done in that fleeting time!
